World Time Widget

A world map for your clocks on iPad

On iPad, World Time Widget now uses the whole screen. Your clocks run down a sidebar, and next to them a live world map shows where everyone is, and who’s in daylight.

World Time Widget on iPad, with the clock list in a sidebar and a world map with a day/night shadow above the time overlap

Your clocks and the map, side by side

Your clock list sits on the left. On the right, the world map marks every clock, with Time overlap beneath it showing everyone’s daylight, work hours and night across the next 24 hours, and your Upcoming Reminders below that.

Tap a clock to ring it on the map and open its detail page, with sunrise and sunset, its time zone, and the next daylight saving changes.

Day and night

Tap the half-circle button to switch the day/night shadow on or off. It has soft twilight bands, and city names under the shadow turn white so you can still read them.

Fly around the globe

Tap the map button to switch from the flat map to an interactive one. Pinch out to see a satellite globe, rotate with two fingers, change the map style, or jump to your own location. Select a clock and the map flies to it. The app remembers which map you prefer.

The Calculator

Open the Calculator and it docks under the map. Scrub through the day and watch the shadow sweep across the world as the times change.

Mac and Split View

The same layout works on Mac. If you make the window narrow in Split View or Stage Manager, the app switches to the iPhone-style list.
